“It’s shiny!” “It’s awesome!” “It’s so clean!” “It’s great!” Those were some of the reviews the gym received from students of The De La Salle School when its new look was unveiled earlier this month.
Father Arcoleo, pastor of Our Holy Redeemer Parish which owns the building where The De La Salle School is a tenant, was present with some members of staff of Our Holy Redeemer Parish, and some parishioners. They joined Brother Thomas, Executive Director of The De La Salle School, some members of The De La Salle School staff, some Trustees, alumni, and students of the school with their parents, grandparents, and siblings. The photo shows some of the happy faces of some of those in attendance.
The parish and the school each contributed towards the cost of the renovations. Following a blessing and words expressing mutual gratefulness for the collaboration the space was available for play. Noe, a fifth grader, noted that his favorite part of the ceremony was when he was involved in a game of four-square with his grandmother on the pristine new surface.
