Head injuries are a growing concern for youth, high school and professional sports. Just this fall, a Phoenix high school athlete died on the football field after sustaining a traumatic brain injury. Now, Senator Charles Schumer is stepping up the pressure for safer helmet safety standards.
Schumer joined members of the CBA football team in Syracuse to announce his support for new legislation that would establish stricter guidelines for helmets being produced in the future.
