The Catholic Protectorate of St. Louis, located in nearby Glencoe (MO), opened under direction of Bro. Immanuel of Mary and four other Brothers. Later, in 1886, the St. Louis District Novitiate moved from Carondolet (near St. Louis) to Glencoe.
