As part of a special Commencement program on the campus, Benilde Hall was blessed and dedicated on the campus of La Salle College (Philadelphia). Named in honor of the recently-beatified French Christian Brother, Benilde Hall’s nine classrooms, six faculty offices, and reading room were greatly needed because of La Salle’s burgeoning enrollment with the G. I. Bill was making education for America’s returning veterans more available than ever.
