Five Brothers from the St. Louis District relieved the Sisters of St. Francis and began teaching classes on this date at St. John’s School for Catholic Indians. The location was near Gray Horse (OK), about 50 miles northwest of Tulsa, and the students were Native American boys of the Osage tribe. The Brothers withdrew from St. John’s in 1913.
