The first Christian Brothers associated with the Cathedral Parish School at the original Calvert Hall (Baltimore) registered the students for the school year. A week later (September 15), they began their teaching ministry there as two classes were formed out of the 100 total students. The original Calvert Hall, on Little Sharpe Street in downtown Baltimore, housed America’s oldest permanent Lasallian school.
