April 13, 2013 – Seton-La Salle Catholic High School inducted six new members to its Hall of Fame during the Founder’s Day Celebration on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at St. Clair Country Club.

One of the inductees was Br. Patrick Power, South Hills Catholic Faculty from 1961 – 1975. Br. Patrick, in his 82nd year as a Brother, turned 100 years old in December 2012.

Others inducted include:

  • Linda Boss, Elizabeth Seton Class of 1966 Owner – A Boss Optical in Brookline
  • Carol Ging Erzen, Elizabeth Seton Class of 1976 Director of Training and Staff Development – Allegheny Valley School/Northwest Human Services
  • Greg Gattuso, Seton-La Salle 1980 Assistant Head Coach – University of Maryland Football Team
  • Sr. Louise Grundish, BSN, MEd, MNEd, RN, Elizabeth Seton Class of 1951 Sisters of Charity of Seton Hill
  • Lt. Leo John (Jack) Kelly, South Hills Catholic, Class of 1962 (received posthumously) United States Marine Corp – Killed during Operation Hickey in 1967, received a Purple Heart, and his name on the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, DC
  • The Seton-La Salle Hall of Fame honors alumni and faculty of Elizabeth Seton High School (1941-1979), South Hills Catholic High School (1956-1979) and Seton-La Salle Catholic High School (1980-Present) who have demonstrated excellence in their academic pursuits, career achievements, and service to their church, community and Seton-La Salle.
  • Seton-La Salle is the largest co-educational high school in the Diocese of Pittsburgh and is located in Mt. Lebanon.  Established in 1979, Seton-La Salle was a merger between Elizabeth Seton High School (1941-79) and South Hills Catholic High School (1956-1979).  Seton-La Salle was created to assure a continued presence of quality, Catholic education in the South Hills.
