March 6, 2013 – St. John’s College Music Department recently returned from Walt Disney World. The department had two groups perform in Disney Honors, and two who performed in the parks.
The group traveled from February 27 to March 4. The Wind Ensemble and Advanced Vocal Studies participated in Disney Honors, a prestigious, invitation only adjudication. Both groups were selected to participate based upon their previous performances in Festival Disney, and other national festivals, where they earned the highest ratings of Superior.
The Regimental Band and Competition Jazz Ensemble also traveled to Disney World as well. The Regimental Band marched down Main Street, and the Competition Jazz Ensemble performed in Downtown Disney.
