Rome, Italy – Brother Robert Schaefer took the train from Rome to Naples and headed to the Neapolitan suburb of Scampia one Sunday last month. His motivation was to meet up with one of his former teachers, Mr. Michael O’Toole, and one of his former students, Mr. Lewis Clark. Those two men, currently on the staff at La Salle College High School, had traveled with a delegation of students from the school to volunteer at CasArcobaleno. This Lasallian ministry, whose name translates to Rainbow House, is a school for youngsters in need of a second chance. Read a brief description of it here.

The group photo depicts Brother Robert at the far right, Mr. O’Toole in the front row holding a hat and wearing a Columbia University sweat shirt, and Mr. Clark in a green shirt in the back row just over Mr. O’Toole’s right shoulder.
