Lincroft, NJ – Twenty-seven young men from five of our District’s secondary schools, Bishop Loughlin Memorial, Brooklyn, Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft, La Salle Academy, New York City, La Salle College, Wyndmoor, and St. Raymond’s, Bronx, gathered in Lincroft for the first ever Vocation Summit for students. Hosted by Brothers Francis Eells and Michael Andrejko of the District’s Office for Vocations, with John Donahue-Grossman from La Salle Manor Retreat Center, Plano, IL conducting the gathering, young men were invited to contemplate deep questions and concepts. Guided through intrapersonal reflection, and invited to interpersonally share, these young men explored different moments within their lives, and their lives as Lasallian students to see how God may be calling them to a vocation as a religious, or to another vocation. Time in prayer and association with abundant energy were the hallmarks of the day.

Special thanks to John Donahue-Grossman for an engaging presentation, to CBA-Lincroft for hosting, to Vocation moderators for making the trip and to the young men for making a serious commitment to discernment! Let’s continue to pray for vocations and to ask young men to consider the life of the Brothers of the Christian Schools!
