Asbury Park, NJ – “We are honored to welcome you,” was the greeting one of the advanced English students in the adult education program in Asbury Park offered to the guests gathered at the classroom door. Seventeen Brothers, most from De La Salle Hall, learned about the program for English language learners that Brother Thomas Browne directs at Holy Spirit Parish.
This DENAconnect activity addressing the theme of Action on Behalf of the Vulnerable occurred last week. Brothers Michael Reis and Ed Phelan joined Brother Thomas in providing input on that topic.
Approximately fifty adults are served by the program and some of the Brothers are interested in providing some tutoring help to those students.
