Advent Retreat 2022
The Holy Season of Advent
Stay Awake!
Give yourself the gift of time this Advent and join with others in the Lasallian family as together and by association we embark upon an Advent spiritual journey. Put aside just 15 minutes of quiet time to enter the retreat experience, though that time can be extended or lessened to suit your personal needs. Thank you for joining this spiritual pilgrimage as One La Salle, we prepare our hearts for a joyous Christmas celebration.
— Peace, Maryann Donohue-Lynch, Office for Mission and Formation
A Message from Brother Visitor Bob Schaefer, FSC
“The time of Advent returns us to the horizon of hope, a hope that does not disappoint
because it is founded on the Word of God. A hope that does not disappoint,
simply because the Lord never disappoints! He is faithful!”
(Pope Francis)
Dear Brothers, Lasallian Partners in Mission and Friends,
The season of Advent is soon to be upon us. As teachers and educators, we all know the importance of homework and preparation. We have all experienced the frustration of having students not put sufficient effort into the homework. Advent is a time of spiritual homework and preparation. Let’s take advantage of this time the Church’s liturgical calendar provides to prepare ourselves for the feast of Christmas. We hope this spiritual resource with weekly scripture reflections will assist you in your Advent journey. Live Jesus in our hearts! Forever!
